THE EXECUTIVE

Composition

The executive is established in line with Chapter nine of the Constitution of Kenya and comprises of the President, the Deputy President and the Cabinet. The cabinet by itself consists of the President, the Deputy President, the Attorney-General and not fewer than fourteen and not more than twenty-two Cabinet Secretaries.

Additionally, there is an existence of the office of Principal Secretary, which is an office in the public service in that each State department shall be under the administration of a Principal Secretary.

Other offices under the executive are the office of Attorney-General and the office of Director of Public Prosecutions.
